The open house was a success and had some special guests including the Mayor of Port Colborne. Here he is with the ladies of the store. They celebrated their 1 year anniversary recently.
It was in The Leader/Niagara This week, a local paper on April 25th.

It is April 12th and we are ready for our Open House.

Mayor Badeway joined us at 11 o'clock and presented us with a plaque of our grand opening.  We did open 1 year ago but this is the opening for the 60 other crafters who have joined us in making this adventure a success.  So this definately was a grand opening.

I personally want to thank all the crafters who joined us for the day and all who could not make it but I am sure were thinking about us.

I tried very hard not to get faces but you will know who you are and anything can be changed or deleted  but a bit THANK-YOU TO YOU  ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

It was a very successful day and a big thank-you to all the customers who braved the pouring rain to come in to see us.

Recently the ladies of the Niagara Crafters store were interviewed by Cogeco, The Source. Take a moment to watch the video, and enjoy!

Happy New Year to all and a great big thank-you to all of our customers who shopped with us in 2012.

We feel very successful in our first 9 months open and look forward to improving over the next year.

We certainly have room for more crafters as we have been allowed more space.

We still have customers coming in and declaring that they did not know we were there.  Let's keep spreading the word.  We have a radio spot thanks to Mr. Rossman and we joined the Chamber of Commerce which will give us more advertising.

Our efforts to serve the community with something new is quite successful and we look forward to maintaining a positive happy atmosphere in the store.

Come ALL and see us in the new year.

Let's introduce more crafters.

We have Michelle who crochets the most adorable hats.

Gloria does machine knitting.  She is from Welland and when she can she comes to the store but like all of us she enjoys helping out with the grandchildren.

Kevin is the first male brave enough to join all us women.  He makes simple but desirable bird feeders/bird houses/squirrel feeders(which seem to be very popular) and various other things.

We asked a customer what she would like to see in our store.  She said pottery.  Later that day, in walks Jackie to inquire about bringing in her pottery.  Beautiful work.  Dishes that are microwave safe, oven safe and can go from oven to table.

Her hand painted wine glasses are very popular.

Jackie spends as much time as she can in the store.  She enjoys the customers and contributes to the jovial atmosphere.
